Why did you decide to teach English? Is it just a hobby or you have plans for the future? Are you going to practice your trade?
— It's a kind of a challenge that I would like to face. I haven't made up my mind about my future yet. I have an option to continue my scientific research on stochastic processes or work in human rights sphere.
Do you have a dream country, city or a specific place?
— Yes. Istanbul. I like this busy city. It`s extremely different from Kiev. Other traditions and culture that is very attractive. You fill yourself like in mysterious whirlpool when you walk across streets.
We know that you have been studying at Cambridge and Hustings summer schools. Tell us more about it.
— It was a great experience. I've made a lot of friends from all over the world. I've made a lot of funny things, tried punting, and read a lot of books. I had an opportunity to get acquainted with different ways of thinking, to broaden my horizon, to understand new culture. We had also lots of activities. My favourite one was punting. It is boating in small rivers. The punter generally propels the punt by pushing against the river bed with a pole and it is quite different from Ukrainian boating.
— Yor top-5 favourite films?
— I don't like films. I prefer series. My top-5 are "Shameless", "Skins", "Scandal", "How to get away with murder" and "Física o Química". I like these series because main characters are faced with a lot of problems and try to solve them. They attract people because characters are ordinary people.

Are you prejudiced toward tattoos? Do you have any?
—  I have six tattoos — two arrows, clover, different phrases and a poem of Robert Frost.
Top-3 books from your childhood and the most loving one now? Is there any you want to reread?
— What age do you mean by "childhood"? If school years - than "War and peace" , "Mother Courage and Her Children" by Brecht and "Madame Bovari' by Gustave Flaubert.
I have two favourite books nowadays. They are "Discipline and Punish: The Birth of the Prison" by Michel Foucault and "Violence" by Slavoj Žižek. They are important in understanding of modern world concepts.
What would be your perfect weekend?
— Probable being alone with books somewhere not in Kyiv. I have an enormous list of books I have to read due to my specialization. Hope I'll have an opportunity to do it. 20 Gb of my laptop memory is filled with books, so I think it's time to read them:)
Do you have any hobbies except learning and teaching foreign languages?
— Human rights activism. Philosophy. Math. Knitting. Guitar. Painting. British history.
What are tree best apps in your phone?
— FUNK - application with different math games, created by MIPT students. It helps in understanding differential calculus in game form.
Logical Reasoning - helps in developing critical thinking skills.
Twitter - kind of personal psychologist:)

Imagine: You have found a remote that can rewind, fast forward, stop and start time. What would you do with it?
— Actually, I would try to use it like Time-Turner in Harry Potter. Some inconvenient things I would rewind (like exams in university). But it seems to me that there is no sense to accelerate time because life is too short even without it.
What is your favourite day of a week and why?
Wednesday. I have my Math course that makes me enthusiastic. It's kind of relax - solving problems on applied math :) That's why this day I have more rest than during weekends.
What`s you're the most urgent priority for the rest of the year?
—  I’m a coordinator in Write for Right — the biggest human rights campaign ever organised by Amnesty International. My aim — is to collect as many signatures as I can in order to help political prisoners from all over the world. Every December, Amnesty supporters across the globe will write millions of letters for those whose basic human rights are being attacked. They are people like me and you, continuing a long tradition of writing letters to right some of the world’s biggest wrongs.
